Two From Mr. Biden

First, is the recent interview he gave to Katie Couric where he proclaimed: "When the stock market crashed Franklin Roosevelt got on television and didn't just talk about the princess of greed..." Mr. Biden the stock market crashed in 1929 under Woodrow Wilson and there were no TV's at that time. An honest and funny mistake. If I ever had to give a (hopefully non-scripted) nationally televised interview I would make mistakes also, anybody would. A good laugh nonetheless. The second slip isn't quite so funny. Last week Mr. Biden proclaimed, "Catholic social doctrine as I was taught it is, you take care of people who need the help the most." Certainly there most have been a very soft philanthropic glow around Mr. Biden as he uttered this statement.  Yet, I can't help but wonder if Mr. Biden forgot about his recently released tax returns? These documents showed he had donated a whopping average of $380.00 dollars a year, or 0.2% of his annual income, again: 0.2% of his annual income. Certainly the Catholic Church, and its omniscient and benevolent leader, demand more than that, no?
